I already miss the old app.

The new app forces you to scroll from article to article. I hate scrolling page after page to find an interesting article. I much prefer seeing a list of article titles and selecting the one to read. I was able to reinstall the older version using iTunes. Happy again.

Update doesnt work

I downloaded the latest update on tuesday around 2130. When I open the app, all I get is a G&M logo, the weather bar, and the stock market up or down symbols. Nothing else loads, even after waiting several minutes. The little icons in the black sidebar onthe side do not work.

Missing Sections

Bring back the ability to browse to sections - for example National, International News, and the option to browse to news tailored to the province or area of the country the reader is interested in. Allow the customization instead of being stuck with only whatever stories are displayed.

Worst redesign ever

This is one buggy app. I cant get to the login screen, just a "guest screen" or blank screen when I select Profile. But more importantly the quick access we had to CDN and US market info and the top news headlines is gone. Instead of concise screens with easy access to all the stories, we have to scroll through and/or swipe to many different screens. There is a lot of white space and large fonts which are a complete waste of space and time. The old app let us browse quickly through the tops stories. This is an essential feature for busy people. We come to the app for news and not some designers vision (nightmare) of great design. Theyve also merged many sections including arts and entertainment with sports. How did that happen? This new app is a buggy waste of time. How disappointing for the best news source in Canada. If it doesnt get fixed soon Ill be canceling my online suvbscription.

Poor use of real estate, too many ads

This update really needs work. The former version offered much more for quick "at a glance" news updates and overviews. Hence theres a poor use of real estate. More ads in the new version as well. Not appreciated.

Disaster

This is the worst "new version" of an app I have ever seen. It provides only a handful of Globe stories with little content breakdown. Assumes Globe readers are incapable of choosing what they wish to read...a huge step backwards for Canadas most respected newspaper.

Total Disaster

I used to use this app all the time. The new one seems to have a fraction of the articles and no way to peruse the sections. Being slightly prettier is not an improvement

Terrible

Old app was one of the best news apps out there. The redesign on this app is truly terrible. Many sections are missing (national, politics, world, etc.). The new layout means you have to scroll through each individual story that the editorial board has decided they want you to read... It was much better when there was a list of stories and the reader could choose for himself/herself what to read. I expect the Globe will lose a lot of readers if these problems arent fixed.

Terrible Redesign

The newly re-designed app is a huge step backward. There is less content available, and its presented in a mish-mash format that is unclear and confusing. Plus, theres no back button to go back to the spot in the category you were in prior to tapping through to an article. Big bust. Stick with the website -- the new app is nothing but frustration.

Awful

Hard to believe such a serious step backwards. Just plain awful. This update kills it for me. Will get Canadian news elsewhere.

Disappointing redesign

Missing sections, poor layout are just the beginning.... Stick with the old version.

Wish I could give it zero stars

As a paying globe customer, they have taken away my ability to read the content I want with this update. Literally the worst update to an app I have ever seen. I cant even find articles on home and garden, etc. I might have to think about canceling my paid subscription because of this update.

Poor redesign

This redesigned app is worse than the previous version. Slow to load, wasteful of screen space, not intuitive. Hard to find information as there are only a few sections. Boxes come up that do nothing but have a little note saying next. Fire the folks that wrote this.

Horrible Redesign

Took an app that was unsexy but functional and turned it into something totally unusable. I cant navigate to sections anymore, cant seem to get anything more than a few articles, the navigation seems completely unintuitive... All in all, an incredibly poor experience.

Awful App!

Unless this new App is improved in the next 30 days I will cancel my TGM subscription.

Poor redesign. Crashes constantly

Wow. From a great app to a bad one. It crashes constantly. Poor design and hard to find articles. Huge odd photos and no sense of the overall paper. Just a jumbled mess. Stick to the website version

Horrible redesign

Awful! Constantly crashing. Completely useless. How could you have released this app when it is so full of bugs it is unusable. I miss my Canadian news. Such a shame.

Terrible redesign

I cant stand the redesigned. Called the customer service to cancelled, and was given 50% off.
